This Barbera has been sustainably grown since 2008 in Amador Shenandoah Valley (Sierra Foothills) AVA on a hand tended vineyard. In 2024 ORGANIC conversion started (OMRI and NOP compliant). Trellises face south. The soil is red decayed granite and mineral rich. Italian clone FPS04/110R, with small-to-medium berries. Fruit is dropped in mid-season for a concentrated taste. This Estate Barbera has been popular among recognized winemakers throughout California, including Napa (references available upon request). $1,500/T
