Job Description/Qualifications

Location: Alameda, California with work from home/remote options
Position: Full time

St. George Spirits is looking for someone who is super sharp, 110% ‘on it’, and thinks and takes pride like an owner. This person manages specific brand-building initiatives that will lead to the implementation of strategic marketing objectives for both distribution markets and onsite marketing. Responsible for all brand development strategies and activities including brand planning, consumer engagement, and brand communication. This leader will develop and implement the vision for the entire brand portfolio. The Brand Manager reports directly to the CEO. They know when to involve management or not, and problem solve on their own as necessary, all while remaining aligned with the ethos of our organization: professionalism and grace.

St. George Spirits’ desire is to have someone who can help grow the business by:
• Helping to reimagine and launch a new marketing approach and strategy across our entire brand portfolio
• Leading the flow of information between St. George Spirits, the public, and the press
• Creating efficiencies
• Ensuring that brand identity and company values are well represented across all avenues and platforms

• Ensure that brand identity is represented faithfully and consistently across channels
• Manage the development of a new packaging and design agency coordinating with and supervising them
as needed
• Manage the development of a new website and ensure that it remains up-to- date, coordinating with and
supervising external web developers as needed
• Maintain and update existing sales and marketing materials (product shots, sell sheets, shelf talkers, hang
tags, rack cards, etc.)
• Monitor marketing metrics and present monthly summary
• Develop new sales and marketing materials in conjunction with internal stakeholders, coordinating with
and supervising external graphics, photo, video, and print contractors as needed
• Manage the development of merchandising/display support for bottle shop and oversee creation and
execution of new merch
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with media contacts
• Tailor communications of brand strategies and product information as appropriate to key stakeholders
(e.g., internal departments, distributors and importers, vendors, consumers)
• Manage company’s PR firm and oversee media outreach
• Produce periodic company newsletters (determining and writing content, selecting images, maintaining
up-to-date mailing list, disseminating via MailChimp)
• Assist with managing official company social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook), writing and
editing content, selecting images, acquiring permissions for reposted content, responding to comments,
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Manage the marketing budget

Support responsibilities:
• Co-lead donations committee with Operations/Compliance Manager, determine whether donations
requests are aligned with company values and will make effective use of company resources
• Periodic market visits
• Periodic guest and trade visitors hospitality
• Other duties as directed

• Extensive experience with spirits industry required
• Demonstrated familiarity with spirits media required
• Required experience with social media management
• High-level writing and editing skills required
• High-level verbal communication skills required
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to improve processes and implement new ones
• Critical thinking, diverse thinking, and problem solving skills required
• Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
• High-level time-management, organizational, and budgeting skills required
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite required
• Experience with MailChimp preferred
• Experience with G-Suite preferred

Education and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5–10 years of brand marketing and management experience in the spirits industry
• Proven track record of successful brand growth, such as activations, marketing campaigns, events,
• Proven record of successful leadership
