Primitivo - Old Vine, Award Winning
October 2, 2019
California Shenandoah Valley AVA
La Mesa Vineyards is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley in Amador County, Plymouth. Our old vine Primitivo is grown head trained in reddish volcanic granitic clay loam soil at ~2,000 altitude, with almost 30 degree swings in temperature between day and night, producing grapes of exceptional flavor and quality. We have made award winning wines from these grapes, including a Gold medal at the Amador wine competition in 2018.
We have ~7-8 tons available for 2019 and can sell in smaller lots as needed.
