Dry, crisp, stony, aromatic rose. Numbers -- 11.8% alc, 6.9g/L TA, 3.33pH, 0.28g/L VA, 1.25g/L malic, 1.7g/L glu/fru. A little more body than the alc might suggest, but still a quaffer. Picked early; i.e., not a saignee. A mix of barrel and tank ferments. 10% each of chard and viognier. Malo blocked. Isinglass fined. Sterile filtered. Bottled in flint Burgundy and unbranded Trefinos (agglomerated, supercritical CO2 treated, compare to DIAM) corked. No capsules. Plain white boxes. Pickup on Treasure Island. 270 cases. $96/cs. Jancis Robinson, 5/27/24, 17/20 pts -- "Light baby pink. Aromas of berries and watermelon with a hint of citrus peel. Wonderfully bright citrus-peel and rose-hip flavours mix with watermelon rind and a hint of white flowers. Bright, juicy and crisp with excellent acidity. Yum. (AY)"
