At the base of the steep, volcanic slopes of Howell Mountain lies Napa Valley’s newest and highly distinctive sub-appellation, the Crystal Springs AVA. Here, the renowned VIADER Vineyards & Winery estate has been family-owned and meticulously farmed for nearly four decades, producing wines that consistently earn 96–98+ point critical acclaim.

These exceptional hillside vineyards are densely planted along dramatic slopes, with an east–west orientation that maximizes sun exposure while preserving freshness and structure. The vines are hand-farmed, sustainably cultivated, and Napa Green certified, reflecting the estate’s long-standing commitment to thoughtful stewardship and precision viticulture.
