Thanks to the original patented Padovon design, the filter plates: Are plain and indeformable; Assure an elevated drainage flow during filtration and precoating, besides a complete and accurate washing, even under the filtering cloth; Are made of stainless steel AISI 304 sheet provided with drawn reliefs, against which is placed the filtering cloth made of stainless steel AISI 316L with a 65 micron mesh. The most significant feature consists in the lack of the drainage grid, a cause of pollution. Motorization for rotation of filter plates is equipped with hydraulic coupling. Removes VA and small quantities of alcohol. The Sweetspotter was developed in 2005 for purposes of tackling small lots of wine for purposes of VA and 4Ep reduction. It is also capable of adjusting TA or pH as well as alcohol Sweetspot trials and wine concentration using UF. Unique in its ability to run small lots at pressure without increasing the temperature of the wine, the Sweetspotter has truly changed the landscape of winemaking and unmasked the mystery of VA and taint removal. The heart of the unit is a pressure intensifier which utilizes the outgoing energy of the wine (pressurized wine stream) and uses this energy to increase the pressure of the incoming wine stream. The NF horizontal disk kieselgur filters are suitable for filtering wine/beer and perfect for filtering operations on large amounts of liquid with low percentages of solids in suspension because they combine very rapid working times with excellent filtering results. This type of filter relies on a unique system that keeps the filter cake intact even in the case of accidental interruptions in the filtering process. The centrifugal discharging of the cake makes the emptying and cleaning operations quick and easy, and servicing procedures also take up very little time because the filter’s structure has been designed to facilitate these activities to the utmost. $8,000 OBO
