Leo Trentadue planted the southern portion over three decades ago. 200 vines of Petite Sarah are interspersed. This Barbera has been sustainably grown since 2008 in Amador Shenandoah Valley (Sierra Foothills) AVA on a hand tended vineyard. In 2024 ORGANIC conversion started (OMRI and NOP compliant). Trellises face south. The soil is red decayed granite and mineral rich. Italian clone FPS04/110R, with small-to-medium berries. Fruit is dropped in mid-season for a concentrated taste. This Estate Barbera has been popular among recognized winemakers throughout California, including Napa (references available upon request). $1,500/T
