Sleeping Giant Winery is hiring a Harvest Winemaking Intern for the 2026 season. Want to learn winemaking from the ground up? This position will explore all aspects of winemaking at our small, family owned, state of the art winemaking facility. We harvest over 10 varietals and several Napa Valley appellations so that you may obtain a full view of the bounty offered in Napa and Sonoma. From Chardonnay, Pinot noir, Cabernet, Sangiovese and even Nebbiolo, this job will entail all aspects of crush and cellar duties from sanitation (we clean scrupulously) to berry sorting. This position will interface with all aspects of the winemaking process. From some lab duties to cellar. We are a very tidy small team, so the majority of the time you will be actually making the wine alongside our winemaking team. A good attitude and work ethic is more important than experience, but ideally, we’d like both! Lab Technician Manager Job Type: Seasonal and Part Time Location: Yokayo Wine Company, 301 W Lake Mendocino Dr, Ukiah, CA Job Summary: To perform analysis of wine and grape components. Essential Functions: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job, but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. • Ability to understand and comply with all safety requirements • Obtain wine samples from tanks and juice samples from grape trucks • Perform pH, TA, brix and nutritional analyses on grape and juice samples • Responsible for analysis on wine tanks, bottled wine, and wines in storage • Work safely and maintain a clean work station • Grape sampling and testing • Generate analytical results accurately and efficiently • Perform wine analyses using equipment • Chemical preparation (acids, bases, buffers, reference standards) • Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities, including SQF standards • Food Safety Responsibility: Report problems with the food safety management system to supervisor • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Education: An Associates Degree
