The successful applicant will start by overseeing the fit-out of their brand new winery in preparation for its inaugural vintage. The vineyard was planted in 2011 and the first wines, which were released from 2018, are already doing well in competition and attracting attention in trade and media. Commencing in early 2021 this is a rare opportunity to steer a meticulous, quality-focussed house from its early years. The Grange Estate belongs to the Baring family and sits 7 miles to the east of Winchester in the southern county of Hampshire. At the centre of the broadly arable, 1200ha estate sits a semi-ruined, neo-Classical mansion that hosts an internationally renowned 5-week opera festival in the Summer.
