Job Description for 2018 Vintage Assistant Yamhill Valley Vineyards is a 150-acre vineyard located in McMinnville, Oregon. We grow, produce and bottle all of our wines off of our beautiful estate that began being planted back in 1983. We are winegrowers and lead our fruit through our onsite winery with attention to detail, inquisitive minds, and a gentle hand. We produce primarily Pinot Noir, as well as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling and Rosé of Pinot Noir. We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and engaged team player to join our team during harvest of 2018. Prior harvest experience is not a requirement, although a genuine interest in wine and the process of making it is. We usually need our interns for a period of 5-8 weeks starting in mid September to early October, depending on the growing season. Depending on your level of experience you may be assigned to a range of tasks including, but not limited to, the following: • Vineyard Sampling • Running crush equipment and sorting fruit • Barrel work • Cap management • Juice / wine transfers • Additions and Inoculations • Daily Brix, Temperature and pH measurements • Equipment sanitation and cleaning Qualifications •

Alta Colina Winery has an opening for a harvest intern position, approximately August until November. Alta Colina is a small, family owned and operated producer of estate Rhone wines in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. Our harvest intern will be a part of many aspects of harvest including pre-harvest vineyard sampling, winery prep and daily sanitation, grape processing, fermentation management, quality monitoring, barrel downs and everything in between. Excellent sanitation practices and a high level of attention to detail are key attributes for this position. Cellardoor winery in Lincolnville, Maine located on the scenic mid-coast is seeking harvest interns for the 2018 season (Sept 1 - mid November). Interns will be part of a very small team and can expect to be involved with all aspects of the harvest production process. Applicants should expect to work 40+ hr/week for several weeks straight, including weekends. Interns will gain experience making still, sparkling, and late harvest wines working with vinifera grapes shipped from Washington and California and hybrid grapes grown on our estate vineyard. Job duties include, but are not limited to: • Processing and sorting fruit • Fermentation/cap management (pump-overs) • Lab analysis • Additions • Barrel Work • Vineyard sampling and analysis The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and posses a strong desire to learn. Ability, and willingness to lift 50lbs repeatedly and climb stairs is required. Some lab experience is a plus. We will provide all necessary training for our cellar and lab equipment.
