Vineyard Foreman Napa, CA JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities • Under direction of the Supervisor or Manager, oversees work according to schedules, priorities and fields. • Maintains punctuality of workers at arrival, departure, breaks & lunches • Gets materials and/or tools ready that may be needed for the day. • Checks quality and quantity of work performed of various functions and relays information to management regarding performance. • Assist in loading and unloading of materials as needed on property • May assist mechanic with minor repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment. • Directs and assigns duties as needed to meet priorities, obligations and schedules. • May operate equipment on the ranch including trucks and tractors as needed. • Trains employees in proper work techniques, sustainability measures and safety procedures.  • Maintains records of employee hours, but does not approve hours worked • Monitors employee relations and takes issues that may require counseling or discipline to Manager/Supervisor. • As needed, perform all levels of hands-on tasks for the respective department; Vineyard, and occasionally at winery for bottling and Crush Minimum Qualifications • Required to be able to operate a tractor and other miscellaneous vineyard equipment • Must have ability to troubleshoot vineyard equipment
